About Norris Hughes
Norris is a tech enthusiast and problem solver with a can do attitude who possesses the ability to handle any task thrown at him. He has an instatiable curiosity for the unknown and passion for gadgets and technology. What he enjoys most is being able to innovate and create amazing stuff.
Norris holds a Masters in Education specializing in Instructional Technology and certified as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He is currently in the dissertation phase of his PhD program in pursuit of a doctorate in Information Technology. Norris has over 15 years experience in the IT industry serving in a variety of roles. He began his IT career as a WebMaster for the AF Judge Advocate General (JAG) office in the mid 90s. Thereafter, he worked as a Web Content Analyst and Web Developer for various organizations. Currently, he's employed at Given Imaging where his overall responsibility includes the administration and maintenance of Given Imaging's web servers and public facing websites to include overall content management, design, search engine optimization and expansion of their brands through various social media campaign initiatives such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube. In addition to overseeing contractor's performance and assist with requirement analysis and deployments of various web projects, Norris considers himself the typical Geek. He's very enthusiast about resolving technical issues. He believes with each problem presents an opportunity to learn something new thus providing a value to an individual or organization.
